YPII Transitions into IPA Programming for 2019

 In Feature, News

The Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Indiana (YPII) was created in 2001 by a small group of individuals engaged in youth development. In 2003, the Indiana Grantmakers Alliance Foundation (now Indiana Philanthropy Alliance Foundation) became the YPII fiscal agent. Since 2014, Indiana Philanthropy Alliance (IPA) has directly incorporated the importance of “increasing the awareness and understanding of the value of youth philanthropy” into its strategic and operational goals.

With this mission alignment, YPII will transition youth philanthropy programming into IPA’s range of programs and services. In 2019, Julie Markland will shift from YPII Program Associate to IPA Program Associate and will be the lead contact for youth philanthropy programming within IPA. As previously announced, Jill Gordon will fully integrate into the IPA Director of Learning position and cease her dual role as YPII Program Director.

We will continue providing technical assistance to Indiana foundations and community foundation youth councils, support the existing Partner Network of nonprofits, and provide resources and webinars on youth philanthropy.
